New York Lifestyles Magazine hosted a party celebrating author, philanthropist and September cover star Jean Shafiroff. The invitation-only event took place at the Jue Lan Club restaurant in New York City on Monday, October 16th, 2017.

Notable attendees included Jean Shafiroff, Martin Shafiroff, Ernie Anastos, Bo Dietl, Arlene Lazare, Allen Lazare, Bill Mason, Carol Wilkinson, Craig Dix, Frederick Anderson, Simona Gjokikj, Shameda Shah, George Wayne, Alyson Cariefo, Lauren Levison, Victor de Souza, Justin Lujan, Scott Elkins, Missy Hargraves, David Arquilla, Shannon Hales, Dawne Marie Grannum, Jonathan LeWinter, Diane Kirksey, Katlean DeMonchy, Lee Fryd, Flo Anthony, Dara Mirjahangiry and Frederico Wasserman.

In her cover story interview for the publication, Jean speaks at length on the importance of teaching younger generations the value in giving to others. “One of the greatest gifts parents can give to their children is to teach them the importance of philanthropy and helping people and animals in need,” she tells the publication. Jean also discusses the importance of teachers and parents educating children on the value of giving at home and in school, and of early involvement in appropriate community service activities for children of all ages. “We are the role models for our children and future generations. As responsible parents, relatives, and citizens, we bear the duty of service as positive role models to teach future generations to give back,” Jean tells the New York Lifestyles Magazine. “The world we build and cultivate today is the world that our children will inherit tomorrow.”

Jue Lan Club, formerly home to New York’s famous Limelight nightclub, provided an intimate yet lively setting for the party, where guests enjoyed modern Chinese hors d’Oeuvres as well as wine and cocktails.
