New Kozu Restaurant Raises The Bar For Southampton Dining This Summer 2016

The hottest reservation this summer will be at new Japanese Fusion restaurant Kozu, run by restauranteur and 75 Main & AM Southampton owner Zach Erdem. The restaurant offers Japanese cuisine and sushi with Peruvian influences. The menu, designed by Head Chef John Keller, features signature dishes such as the Kozu Jalapeño Yellowtail with Smoked Tomato Ponzu; the Summer Corn and Lobster Salad with a Corn “Pudding”, Shiso, and Yuzu Dressing; and the Heirloom Tomatoes and Japanese Cucumber with Toasted Sesame Dressing, Yuzu Salt, Micro Cilantro and Piment d’Espelette. The kitchen also proudly hostsSous Chef George Nikolopolous, formerly of Le Bernardin, and Sushi Chef Joseph Kim, formerly of Morimoto.

The décor will invite diners to an intimate and elegant atmosphere, featuring dark wooden floors and white walls covered in colorful artwork by Raphael Mazzucco. Fresh flowers will add a sense of luxury to the restaurant, as will the scorched ash tables in conjunction with rich hues and soft lighting. The indoor space holds 100 diners. The large outside patio, which seats 150 people, will offer additional dining space “al fresco”.

The restaurant also boasts the private room and lounge Summer House, which will be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, featuring famed DJs from all around the world. The upscale lounge will make guests feel like they are in the middle of the ocean, with light blue colors and inset LED lighting. Summer House will also be offered for private bookings and special occasions, and has a beautiful outdoor patio with white linen covered day beds.

For those who are looking to stay overnight, the venue also includes Hotel ZE, which is a 5-star boutique hotel with a total of 9 rooms: 5 suites and 4 standard rooms. The hotel and rooms are designed by world renowned architect Costas Kondylis, in a modern European style. Rates for suites are $800 Sunday-Thursday and $1000 Friday and Saturday. Standard room rates are $600 Sunday-Thursday and $800 Friday and Saturday (3 night minimum stay).
